Besides creating and enabling entrepreneurs and businesses, Nidhi is a danseuse, yoga instructor, choreographer, and a fitness professional. She started Stepz Dance Inc (Now rebranded as BollyBeatz) in 2002 in the Bay Area, seeing an opportunity to bring a fitness variant into the market inspired by Bollywood’s versatility in dance and yoga. What started from a garage grew into multiple studios across 7 cities with age groups from 21-82 years, along the peninsula, corporate workshops and employee wellness weekly classes. There were classes for fitness enthusiasts and Dance choreography lovers. You could meet people from all walks of life - students, engineers, homemakers to top venture capitalists and CEOs- all sharing a common love for dance and fitness. The company grew 200% in three years, and had waitlists for classes, all through word-of-mouth marketing. It was a passion for dance and fitness backed by a strong business model that has helped Nidhi open studios and classes across two continents serving 6 cities, and online teaching and workshop model as well as corporate workshops for some top banks, multinational companies, dance studios globally, organisations like EO, YPO, FICCI, Rotary, Universities (NTU Singapore, INSEAD, Stanford) and government agencies. It's been 23 years of teaching and engaging crowds, enabling individuals to connect with their rhythm and move their body to connect with their inner self, drop inhibitions, sans judgment, and be present in the moment. Many of my students have said that the classes helped them to come out of sadness, anxiety, and depression, and many say that it gave them a new way to live life fully enjoying simple things. some made their best friends in my classes and some found their soulmates here.
